Prepare for the Job Search

When searching for a job in the United States, it's important to present yourself in a professional manner through your resume and cover letter materials, interviews, as well as at networking events.  Remember, your initial contact with a prospective employer forms a lasting impression, so make sure it is a positive one.  The UCC offers several resources and services to help international students project a professional image at every stage in their job search process.  Below are links to some of these resources.  (For more specific tips and information regarding resumes, interviewing and job search strategies for international students, view the Job Search Skills for International Students presentation located in the lower right column of this page.)
