Part-Time Jobs
are federally subsidized by the job location and development (JLD) program sponsored by the University Career Center (UCC) and the Office of Student Financial Aid that locates and develops off-campus job opportunities in Lawrence, Topeka and the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Our goal is to assist University of Kansas students in obtaining off-campus jobs (full or part-time, seasonal, or temporary positions) while they are attending KU, thereby enhancing student success. After registering, currently enrolled students may view job postings. Follow the instructions provided by individual employers to apply for jobs. Registration to view or post a job is free!

Who is eligible to participate in the Part-Time Jobs program?

  • To participate, you must be currently enrolled in at least one class at one of the KU campuses.
  • Please note: The visa status of some International students may limit their ability to work off-campus. International students may be eligible to participate in other KUCareerHawk.com programs. Contact International Student and Scholar Services if you have questions about your visa status.
  • Employers located in Lawrence, Topeka, and the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

Careers and Internships

Alumni and students of the University of Kansas may search the online KU Career Connections database of full-time and internship position announcements. Registered users may participate in recruiting activities, post resumes, and view all job and internship announcements. To register, simply download and complete the registration form and return it to the University Career Center (UCC).  Alumni may register for a $40 fee for yearly access. For students, registration is free and valid up to six months after graduation.Internships are also available for viewing in our internship binders in the UCC resource center from 8-5 p.m. daily. Jobs at KU

Employment Opportunities at the University of Kansas are posted online. Persons interested in faculty, staff, or student jobs may register and apply online. There is no fee for registration. When you arrive at the site click the search postings link, go to the Job Category drop down menu and select one of the student categories. Once you have found a job you want to apply for, click the Create Application link on the left hand navigation bar. You will be able to use this application to apply for any of the jobs you select.

NOTE: To apply for on-campus jobs, students must be enrolled in and maintain at least 6 credit hours during the academic semester they are employed. Students do not need to be enrolled in summer school to work during the summer session, but must have been enrolled during the past spring or enrolled in the upcoming fall semester.
