About YES Tutoring
The Youth Educational Services Program (YES) provides the opportunity for KU students to work as a tutor or mentor with "at-risk" students in Lawrence elementary and secondary schools.
Applications are sought from students who want to have a positive effect on the educational experience of public school students. (The YES Program is
not limited to education students.)
Student Eligibility
To participate in the program, a student must meet the following criteria:
- Be degree seeking,
- Be currently enrolled in at least 6 credits,
- Maintain a minimum semester and cumulative GPA of 2.0, and
- Be a Kansas resident.
Application Information
To apply, search the student hourly jobs on the
On-Campus Jobs Website for the position "Y.E.S. Tutor/Mentor" and submit an online application. YES tutors are typically hired at the beginning of the fall semester.
