The University Career Center and the School of Education are pleased to present the 2013 Education Interview Day at the University of Kansas . This event is open to currently enrolled KU students and alumni as well as students and alumni of other institutions. The event is a great opportunity for teacher candidates and others to network and interview with multiple school district officials for current openings in all teaching fields as well as special education, school social work, school psychology, counseling, speech-language pathology, administration, and other areas. Typically, over 60 school districts from across Kansas , Missouri , and a number of other states attend this event.  Â
School districts from Kansas, Missouri, and around the country will be conducting 30-minute screening interviews for current and future openings in the following areas:
- Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle and Secondary Teaching
- Special EducationÂ
- School Social Work
- School Psychology
- Speech-Language Pathology
- OT/PTÂ
If you would like to participate in Education Interview Day, you are strongly encouraged to sign up for interviews PRIOR to the event.  Current KU students and alumni will be able to sign up via KU Career Connections for interviews between Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, February 17. On the day of the event, you will also have the opportunity to sign up for additional interviews between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. or on a walk-up basis if a school district has time available on their schedule. If you are not a KU student or alumna, but are interested in participating in the KU Education Interview Day, please contact Melissa Johnson at mejohn@ku.edu  for more information.
GET READY TO ATTEND THE EDUCATIONÂ INTERVIEW DAYÂ WORKSHOPÂ

Learn how to effectively navigate and make the most of the Education Interview Day.  Resume writing, interviewing skills, and appropriate attire for the event will also be covered from 11:30am-12:30pm. Brief resume reviews will be conducted by UCC and SOE staff from 12:30-1:30pm.
The University Career Center invites school districts and educational organizations to attend our 32nd annual Education Interview Day at KU. We anticipate having over 300 candidates attend this event representing all teaching areas as well as special education, school social work, speech-language-pathology, and school psychology.
Education Interview Day is primarily an interviewing event where school districts will have the opportunity to conduct 30-minute screening interviews with candidates between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.     Â
